In addition to his formal education, Dr. Umberger is a student of life. He enjoys learning about different cultures through reading and traveling to new destinations, as well as exploring the wonderful world of fine arts. He has a passion for learning and speaking different languages and being able to communicate with diverse people. Currently, he is trilingual, speaking both German and Portuguese in addition to his native English.

Known for his ability to make people feel comfortable, Dr. Umberger compassionately listens to his patients so he can partner with them in their health goals. He seeks to provide the best, most current care that dentistry offers. Dr. Umberger is thankful every day for the opportunity to help his patients get better, feel better, and look better. He considers himself extremely fortunate to be doing precisely what he believes he was designed to do. “I think it’s a rare and extraordinary privilege to have found my passion and to wake up every day excited and grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.” When asked about his vision for the practice, Dr. Umberger unhesitatingly replies that he would love to see all of his patients treatment-free, turning Harmony Dental into a “hygiene only” office. “Truthfully, my highest vision would essentially put me out of business,” Dr. Umberger says smiling, “but I can’t help but imagine how great it would be to have my patients in a continuous state of dental health.”
